Construction and Transfer of Bucketline Dredges
ii) The three recent international dredge transfers are:-

1. Gangama Dredge - Sierra Rutile Ltd
This is a 6000 tonnes bucketline dredge fitted with 24 cu ft (680 litres) buckets. The rated annual throughput is 7,000,000 cu m. The treatment plant was converted from a tin to rutile recovery plant. The dredge (PT7) was transferred from Malaysia to Sierra Leone.

2.  Bemban Dredge - P T Koba Tin
This is a 6600 tonnes bucketline dredge fitted with 24 cu ft (680 litres) buckets and digs to a maximum depth of 150 ft (46 m). The rated annual throughput is 7,000,000 cu m. The dredge was dismantled in Malaysia and re-erected at the mining site at Bangka Island in Indonesia.

3.  Merapin Dredge - P T Koba Tin
This is a 6100 tonnes bucketline dredge equipped with 24 cu ft (680 litres) buckets and digs to a maximum depth of 150 ft (46 m). The rated annual throughput is 7,000,000 cu m. The dredge was reconstructed in Malaysia and towed to Bangka Island in Indonesia.
